Areas of Use
De-ICING
Calcium Chloride (CaCl2) and Magnesium Chloride (MgCl2) provides effective deicing/anti-icing when applied either before or after a snow or ice storm. The product quickly begins to melt snow and ice breaks the bond to achieve a clear surface. It is used to prevent ice forming on roads and remove ice buildup from roadways, driveways and side walks.
Agriculture
Calcium Chloride (CaCl2) and Magnesium Chloride (MgCl2) are very useful as fertilizer for plants, because they provide important micronutrients that are vital to healthy plant growth & development. Calcium chloride sprays are used to reduce disease. Magnesium Chloride liquid is approved for production as a crop fertilizer.
DUST CONTROL
Calcium Chloride (CaCl2) and Magnesium Chloride (MgCl2) helps control dust because they are hygroscopic. The product attracts moisture from the atmosphere and resists evaporation. When spread on an unpaved surface, it keeps it damp thus keeping dust down. It binds fine dust particles to keep roads stabilized, and to slow the loss of aggregate.
